Local Nature Reserves
Local Nature Reserves (LNRs) are established and managed by local authorities, following consultation with Natural Resources Wales (NRW) under the National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act 1949.
LNRs have an important role to play in encouraging community involvement with nature and in conserving locally important natural areas valued by local people.
